Home Bargains Foldable Picnic Basket Review

When Home Bargains sent me a press release of all their latest summer products, I was amazed to see a pink picnic basket for £5.99 featured, I replied to the team and was delighted when a beautiful pink striped picnic basket landed on my doorstep a few days later.

The picnic basket is foldable, which is perfect because soon with the winter approaching, my basket will be out of action for a while until the warmer weather returns. With the baskets ability to fold, I can fold it down and keep it in one of the kitchen cupboards and not being in the way as it would be if it wasn't foldable.

The picnic basket has two zips that I prefer to pull into the middle to make things easier, the basket fully closes with help from either one or both of the zips!

The handles can be moved down to the side when your not carrying it around for you to be able to get into the basket without any obstruction from the handles. Each handle has a black comfortable foam piece around the centre which eases the weight on your hands. The basket consist of a lightweight aluminium frame.

The basket is both deep and wide, the actual dimensions are 48.5 x 27 x 24cm, I was able to get all of the food and drink items above inside the basket, and still had room left to add in plates, cups and cutlery. I was able to lay down a standard wine sized bottle of non-alcoholic wine, and stand up the 2 drink cartons I took, I was able to full close the zip even with the items standing up.

The picnic basket can keep food items hot or cold for 3-5 hours. I have used the picnic basket plenty of times during the summer and I am impressed with how well it is going considering it has such a small price label!

The foldable picnic basket is available to buy from selected Home Bargains stores for just £5.99, the direct product link can be found here.
