With the world currently facing a situation no one could have imagined, I worry about my own teenage son's mental health, along with every other teen (and other children and adults too of course!), so I was rather impressed when I opened an email from Teen Calm a few weeks ago. Teen Calm was devised by a mother and daughter team – Cathy and Freya – and it’s run entirely from their cosy home in the Midlands.

The aim of Teen Calm is to help young adults develop a routine that builds self-regulation skills so they can cope with those annoying doubts and insecurities that sometimes have us all feeling down about ourselves. The founders of Teen Calm know only too well the consequences of anxiety and the importance of taking time out from life to look after ourselves and so Teen Calm (a one-off or subscription box service) was born.
Each subscription box from Teen Calm will provide a warm, welcoming, safe space where teenagers can establish a self-care routine, learn how to self-regulate, introduce calmness into their lives, enjoy a hefty serving of happiness and self-love, and even rediscover their lost confidence by finding their tribe.
With affordability and accessibility in mind, Cathy and Freya teamed up to make Teen Calm a reality for teenagers all around the world. As well as each beautifully packaged box containing a handpicked collection of fun, mood-boosting treats, it is also intended to help create a self-care routine that so many teens do not have, but one that can really help them to deal with their mental health as well as not feeling so alone.

So how does Teen Calm work?
Teen Calm is a monthly subscription box for teenagers, costing as little as £22.50 a month (if you buy the annual package) or you can buy a box as and when desired for £25. Teen Calm boxes are the antidote to anxiety. Each month’s box will contain goodies to soothe, excite, relax or promote self-care. We don’t do spoilers here, so the contents will always be a surprise but what Teen Calm can promise - is that they will be something to look forward to each time!
