Our Dream Holiday to Niagara Falls!

When Spud was born, I used to dream about the life I was going to give him, the places I was going to take him and the memories we would make together. Now, nearly 10 years on, I still have the same hopes and dreams for him, but Im getting more on top of finances and thinking about planning our future holidays.

Given that one of my bucket-list destinations has always been Niagara Falls, I thought it would be fun to talk about the top four things I want to do when we finally get on that plane.

1) Go on a boat cruise
I can imagine acting more childish that Spud on this tour! The thought of getting dressed up in raincoats and ponchos and heading out on a Hornblower river cruise tour just fills me with excitement! Its one thing to see the Falls, but to see them so close up and feel the spray of them on your face would be unforgettable! I cant wait to see the look on Spuds face.

2) Stay in a room with a view
Whats the point of going all that way to Ontario and then staying in a room without a magnificent view of the Falls? I can just see Gareth and I drinking wine of an evening after an exhausting day of sightseeing, looking out onto the Falls as the sun sets. How could you want anything more? Of all the hotels in the area, this hotel in Niagara Falls would be the one for me, and they have plenty of entertainment for kids too!

3) Journey behind the Falls
When people think of Niagara Falls, they only usually think of looking at it and then walking off, asking why they bothered to go all that way. After doing some research though, there are tonnes of attractions centered around the Falls, such as the Journey Behind the Falls tour. Here, you go down a 150ft elevator to get a totally unique view directly behind the thundering wall of water. You can click here if youd like to know more about this exciting tour. Or what about the Cave of the Winds, where you can travel 175ft down into Niagara Gorge? Follow the twists and turns of wooden walkways along Niagara River to the tropical storm created by the Bridal Veils Falls.

4) Visit Clifton Hill
After all that excitement, I want the three of us to be able to go and enjoy the city life that Clifton Hill has to offer. Famous for its family entertainment, I think it would be the perfect place for us to relax and enjoy our evenings. There are tonnes of restaurants and bars, haunted houses and wax museums for Spud to enjoy, as well as arcades and games everywhere you look.

I hope this gave you some inspiration for your next holiday. Whats your bucket-list destination? Be sure to let me know in the comments.
