Budget
If you're trying to spend as little as necessary this Christmas, it's a good idea to limit what you spend on the people you are buying for. Once all of your bills get paid, it’s time to sit down and work out your budget. Set a maximum for everyone so everyone gets a fair share and you won't be left skint after going crazy in John Lewis.

Frozen
Frozen food is great. It's cheap, it lasts for ages and it's just as good, if not better, than what's seen as fresh. Fill up the bottom drawer of your freezer with all kinds of frozen veg and you’ll be set for a month and won't have to keep buying more of the same stuff every week. Nowadays you can get a huge variety of veg in the freezer section so you can find all of the trimmings.

Shop around
Stop before you buy something on impulse, there are a lot of deals and bargains out there to be made and chances are you can find what you are looking for elsewhere for a cheaper price. Look online, look in different stores and you're bound to save a bit of money, and if you don't find it anywhere else, you can always go back to where you first found the thing.

Buy bulk
Like buying frozen veg, going to a cash and carry or shopping online; you often find the more you buy, the more you save. So stock up on the basics and non-perishables, toiletries and such at the start of the month and you won't need to buy any again for another few, meaning you'll have more money in the coming months.

Freebies
There are plenty ways to get free stuff. Becoming a product tester and you could be in with the chance of getting anything from makeup to televisions, vacuums to bronzer. All you need to do is sign up to one of many sites, find the product you like the look of and request to review the item. It’ll get sent to you and you need to worry a few words on their website and it's yours to keep to do with as you please.
