A Letter To My 16 Year Old Self.

by Jada, January 31, 2017
Dear Jade,

It's your future self here, writing to you, I'm 26 and 10 years into the future.

You're 16 years old, living at home with a baby boy, a relationship that you know isn't perfect, but a relationship you're in, a relationship that you've grown to love, but hate at the same time.

You're studying at college, you don't have dreams, but you have visions, your baby boy is your life, and he still is 10 years on.

You're battling off stereotypical views every day, you get stared at, you get asked questions, and you get judged.

''You're too young to have a baby, you're a baby yourself''.

Love The Little Things About Pregnancy

by Jada, January 30, 2017
It doesn't matter how you discover you're pregnant; one rule applies - read on for what that is.

Maybe you found out by looking at a pregnancy test with your partner at your side, both of you filled with excited and anticipation. Perhaps it was at the doctor's office when you asked for it to be thrown into routine blood work on a hunch. Or even the cases where you had no idea, weren't trying and are surprised by the result.

What unites them?
The sudden, roaring impact of change. In an instant, your life and your future have shifted. Everything will be different now; the plans you make, the way your body feels, perhaps even your outlook on the world. It's all change.

Easy and Cheap Ways to Refresh Your Home

in , , , by Jada, January 30, 2017
Do you feel like your home needs a bit of a change and you need some inspiration for things that you can do that won’t cost a fortune? Hiring an interior decorator can be costly, so why not take on a challenge yourself to give your home a new feel? Not only will you save yourself a lot of money, you will also feel a great sense of achievement if you can make some changes yourself.

There are some very quick wins that you can think about from just hanging some new photos on the wall, to recycling and upcycling some old furniture. Lets look at some ideas:
Valentines Day is soon approaching, and don't us Brits know it! Every shop we venture into is filled with displays of cards, gifts of chocolates and wine, whilst babysitters and florist, both local and nationally are promoting their services across social media.

Whilst I've never been a massive fan of the day itself, believing love should be celebrated all year round, I will admit its nice to have that one day of the year where everyone declares their love, and the atmosphere in restaurants and bars seems to be much more romantic, plus I'm never one to turn down a meaningful card!
When I look back to my childhood I can see that I was fortunate growing up, I didn't realise it at the time of course, but now that I'm older and I think about past days, I know me and my siblings was very lucky to have the childhood we had. I come from a very large family, I have six siblings - three brothers, and three sisters, but it can get complicated when I start explaining we don't all have the same parents. You see, my dad had three children with his first wife, then three children with my mum (his second wife), and then my mum had another child with her current partner (they've been together 17 years).

I never say to people I have half brothers and sisters, they're not half to me at all, they're all my full siblings even though biologically they're not. All of us just refer one another as our siblings, and I thank all parents involved for allowing us all to be so very close growing up. My dad worked endlessly to provide us all with a childhood that we now look back on fondly as adults, he'd get in as much overtime at work as he can - which we all hated, but we reaped in rewards. We visited places some of our friends only dreamed of, and we've seen sights all over.

How To Relax When Life Is Too Stressful.

by Jada, January 30, 2017
If you often find stress flaring up, whether because you live a fairly hectic life or are simply more susceptible to stress, then you are likely to appreciate every little piece of advice for relieving it. Thankfully, The Huffington Post has explained various scientifically-supported techniques for de-stressing - so, let's have a closer look at some of them.

Spend More Time in an Organic Environment.
In November, I mentioned how I didn't tend to pay a lot of attention to natural beauty and wildlife when younger, but have since come to appreciate these things that, as I previously noted, "the world gives us for free". If you tend to ignore greenery in favour of city pursuits, now could be a good time to change tack, as it evidently could do you a lot of good.
Spending time on the beach with your family refreshes your soul and mind, however it also brings along the danger of contracting skin infections due to exposure to sun rays, especially among babies and small kids. This problem is highly common in summer, when people hit the beach to enjoy the warmth of the sun. Fortunately we have baby UV beachwear available to ensure adequate protection for your babies from the harmful sun rays.

The popularity of UV protection swimwear is increasing day by day. Parents are realising the immense benefits that this swimwear provides in order to keep their babies secure. It is worth mentioning that the delicate skin of babies is more prone to damage from sun, as compared to adults - this is because their skin is not able to tolerate the impact caused by gases and chemicals, making it crucial to provide them extra protection when going out in the sun. In the absence of the same, the babies can start feeling uncomfortable, along with developing various skin problems, such as, itching, acne and rashes.

Love Your Living Room

by Jada, January 30, 2017
If you’re anything like me, you’ll spend a lot of time in your living room. It’s the place where you watch your favourite TV programmes, cuddle your kids and curl up with your favourite book when the little ones are in bed. As you spend so much time there, it’s important to make sure your living room is at its most fabulous best – so that you can really relax and invite friends over without a second thought.

Get crafty with your sitting room by putting your creative skills to good use. You don’t have to be an expert to come up with some impressive and unusual ways to revamp this most important of rooms. You could turn an old door into something new, unique and you! Or you could turn a mirror into a tray by sticking some felt backing underneath, and use it to display your favourite ornaments. If you’re not the kind of girl who has ornaments, use your new mirror tray as a base for a small lamp: the light will be reflected around the room for a gorgeous glow.
How many of us can honestly say we haven’t been putting anything off? Let’s try that again. Honestly? Thought so. We all put certain things off longer than we should. The more time that passes, the easier it is to put the task from your mind. Even so, it lurks in the background, waiting for attention. For the most part, we put these things off because we can’t be bothered, even so, as time passes, the thing you’re avoiding may become a matter of urgency. Finally getting around to those jobs will relieve stress and allow you to focus your attention elsewhere! So, here’s a lowdown of things it might be worth facing up to in the near future!

Home Improvements
Home improvements are at the top of this list because they’re one of the main offenders. There’s always a list of work that needs doing in the house. Do you tackle those tasks, or do you let them grow and grow? If it’s the latter, it might be time to get around to them! Whether you want to install resin driveways or finally get around to double glazing, get it done! The list is never going to stop growing. If you keep putting jobs off, the list is going to overwhelm you. Stay on top of the problem to stop it getting out of control. It’s better to take the thing one step at a time, right?
Renovating a kitchen isn't exactly an easy job, but sometimes its just necessary, especially if you have experienced that moment when you think: “I just can't stand it anymore!”. If you have had that moment recently, or you can see it rapidly approaching, it probably means it's time to renovate your kitchen. Read on to make sure you don't miss off any essential tasks.

Floor
One of the first things to ‘go’ in the kitchen is the floor. If you are scrubbing and mopping as hard as you can, but your flooring never seems to get any cleaner, it is a pretty good indication that it’s time for a new one!

There are several factors that you have to consider carefully when choosing a new floor. Firstly ripping up the old floor and laying a new one is going to cause a lot of disruption, so you need to plan it at a time that won't be too inconvenient.
As we all know, educating a child is one of the most difficult things both parents and teachers can ever hope to do in their lives. There is no greater challenge. You’re moulding minds and shaping futures, so it’s no wonder that many of us are left wondering what on earth the best way to do that might be.

Of course, school doesn’t always offer all a child needs in terms of education, and it doesn’t always get things right, but there’s no reason that the school at which you teach, or which your child attends, needs to restrict its teaching to the classroom. Here are some great reasons for you to take your lessons out into the outdoors and maybe relight the fire in some of the brightest and best minds of your students.
At the start of a new year, we all start thinking of what we’d like to do differently – and for many of us, those thoughts lead straight to dreams of home improvements. Maybe you’d like another bathroom or a brand new kitchen. Unfortunately, most of our budgets don’t quite stretch to that, but luckily, there are some home improvement solutions out there that might help in the short term.

I moved into this house over two years ago and stupidly thought I myself could get everything done within six months. The long truth is, I only have my living room and kitchen done, and whilst my hallway has been plastered it does still need decorating. I've got a long road ahead of me, but I'm hoping to get little mans room sorted next.
A woman’s body is a wonderful thing. It is capable of carrying and nurturing another life for a whole nine months - simply amazing! Unfortunately, along with all of the joys that a pregnancy brings, your brand-new baby being the main one, the process of giving birth to a new life can also bring with it a number of health problems.

That being said, if you’re pregnant right now, you shouldn't be worried unduly about the things that go wrong. For most ladies there are very few post-pregnancy issues to contend with and the more aware you are of any possible problems, the more able you’ll be to handle them should they occur.

With that in mind, here are some of the most common post-pregnancy problems:

Swago: Winter Wonderland

by Jada, January 18, 2017
It's time for you to get a big SB bonus this Winter season courtesy of Swagbucks. This month's Winter themed Swago board offers a possible 200 SB Bonus! With the Swagbucks Shopping Swago board only being last week, I've made 400 SB on Swago boards this month and the month still has over 10 days left!

What is SWAGO you ask? It's a game-inspired promotion run by Swagbucks, a website that rewards you with points (called SB) for completing everyday online activities. When you complete a task, watch that square change colors like a twinkling Christmas light. You can then redeem those SB for free gift cards. If you've never used Swagbucks, participating in SWAGO is a great way to learn how to use the site, and it's a lot of fun!

Here’s what you need to know to get your 200 SB Bonus:

Swago will begin on Monday, January 16th at 12:01pm EST, make sure you hit “Join” otherwise you won’t get credit for completing the action items. Each square on your Swago Board will contain an action item to complete.

Once you complete the action item in a particular square the square will change color signifying the action item is complete. You have a limited amount of time to mark off as many squares as possible so use your time wisely.

Be mindful of the patterns and their corresponding bonuses located on the right of your Swago Board. The patterns will vary in difficulty and bonus value.

Once you’ve achieved a pattern the corresponding “Submit” button will light up. You can have multiple patterns available for submission, however, you can only submit ONE pattern so choose wisely.

The game ends Monday, January 26th at 3pm EST. So make sure to hit “Submit” on the pattern you wish to submit. If you don’t hit “Submit” before the game ends you won’t receive your SB bonus.

Swagbucks has earned me a very decent amount this month already, just for taking part in surveys, watching videos, searching the web, using it's cashback service and playing games. If you'd like to sign up, if you sign up using my link here, I can get you a 300 SB bonus - as long as you earn 300 SB by the 1st of February, read my post on signing up to Swagbucks for more information.

Good luck,
Jada x

What I Left Behind In 2016

by Jada, January 11, 2017
It's crazy to think that we're in our second week of the new year already, I feel like we'll be back at Christmas before I know it, and new years eve plans will be getting finalised, in reality I have 11 months before I need to think about such, but time goes so quickly, 11 months feel much more like four months.

I didn't really have any new years resolutions this year, I do have a few goals both blog goals and personal goals, otherwise there was nothing really on the agenda. I'm trying to take one step at a time, and don't think I need a new year to change life.

In 2017, I'm living life differently.
Now that the Christmas holidays are over, a lot of us - me included, have gone into savings mode again as we rebuild our bank accounts from all that food, drink and gift buying! Whilst some of us have already started saving for the 2017 holidays, I know some of you've not and are looking for ways to save for Christmas 2017, so if you're looking to extend your budget or just say within it, Swagbucks is a great resource for that.

You've probably seen me write about Swagbucks a lot on here, and I'm not sorry to say it's only going to be posted about more on the blog as I made well over a grand in a short space of time thanks to it! Swagbucks is a site where you earn points (called SB) for things you're probably doing online already, like searching the web, watching videos, discovering deals, playing games and taking surveys. You then take those points (SB) and exchange them for gift cards to places like New Look, Argos, John Lewis, Amazon, prepaid Mastercard's and even Paypal cash!

One of my favorite things about using Swagbucks is that I can get rewards for searching the web through their search engine. Every now and then they have "Collector's Bills" worth bonus SB points that you can collect by simply searching the web. Collect them all, and you get an SB Bonus!

Once you've collected enough SB, you can redeem them for gift cards to stores like Amazon, New Look, John Lewis, Debenhams, Argos and many more! You could even get prepaid Mastercard's or exchange the points for PayPal cash!
